Why Choose the Irukandji Mega Prawn DTF?

Hyper-Realistic Prawn Presentation

Prawns are a major food source for many Australian predatory fish, making a realistic prawn imitation an effective addition to any tackle box.

The Irukandji Mega Prawn features a detailed body profile designed to resemble a natural prawn, helping create a convincing presentation around mangroves, drop-offs, drains and other productive fishing areas.

Ready to Fish – Straight Out of the Packet

The DTF system removes the hassle of selecting jigheads, fitting hooks and assembling stinger rigs.

Every lure comes factory-rigged with premium components, allowing anglers to spend less time preparing tackle and more time fishing.

Ultra-Durable Immortal TPE Construction

Manufactured from Irukandji's Immortal TPE elastomer, the Mega Prawn DTF is designed to offer outstanding flexibility and resistance to damage.

Combined with a Kevlar-reinforced tail, this construction helps the lure withstand repeated casting and encounters with aggressive fish.

Premium Hooking System

The Mega Prawn DTF features an Irukandji Iron Claw 3/0 main hook paired with a Decoy Y-S81 size 2 treble stinger.

This combination provides an additional hooking point for fish that strike short or attack the lure from behind.

Decoy split rings and an integrated NT swivel complete the factory-fitted rigging system.

Versatile Fishing Techniques

The 115mm Mega Prawn DTF can be worked using a range of retrieves depending on the target species and fishing conditions.

Try a slow roll, controlled lift-and-drop retrieve or short rod-tip hops to imitate the movement of a fleeing or injured prawn.

The lure can be fished around estuary channels, mangrove edges, sand flats and submerged structure where prawns and baitfish are commonly found.
